NOTE: The connection of John Adamson being the son of Enos Adamson has not been proven to genealogical Standards. Having a descendant DNA tested would confirm that John is a descendant of John Adamson and Ann Skew and most likely a son of Enos. John Adamson and Ann Jackson were married about 1800 in North Carolina. Ann Jackson was born about 1785 in North Carolina. She died () on 11 May 1860 at the age of 75 in Madison Co., Indiana. She was buried after 11 May 1860. Ann was buried in Independence / Rigdon Cemetery. Adamson, Ann wife of Andrew Gray former wife of John Adamson died May 11, 1860

.The cemetery at Rigdon lies on the south side of the road which is the Township line between Madison and Grant Counties. Many of the citizens of Grant County lie buried there. Independence was laid out in 1851 on land in four townships and two counties. The counties being Grant and Madison; the townships Liberty and Greene in Grant and Boone and Duck Creek in Madison County.
