and brothers. Basil sold "Adamson's Choice" on Jan. 13, 1759 to William
Williams; the deed is recorded in Frederick, MD, and describes Basil as a planter
tall and blonde in appearance. Basil and his brothers became builders. They
had contracts with Frederick Co. for building bridges and other public work.
Basil was the head of the southern branch. He did not enlist in Revolutionary
but signed the Oath of Fidelity & this is recognized as patriotic service.
